Congratulations Class of 2019!
DUSA was chartered during the 1980-81 school year as the representative bargaining local for all District U46 secretarial employees. The Association is affiliated with both the Illinois Education Association and the National Education Association. In 1987, it expanded to include all District U46 clerical assistants within its ranks and then expanded to include all computer technicians in 2008.
DUSA, in an effort to support its membership and give assistance to students of Parents in its membership and most times right in our community, established a scholarship fund.
Eight more than worthy students who all have parents that have worked in the District serving students for a collective 55 years applied for these scholarships.
DUSA Board Members had a tough time picking just three.
- Jessica Leatherby building Rep at EHS presented a scholarship to Gabriel Gulumian son of Jennifer Gulumian (Dream Academy) on 5/15
- Karen Lawson Building Rep at SEHS presented a Scholarship to Alex Herrera son of Josey Herrera (Ellis Middle School) on 5/21.
- Carri Bonine Building Rep at LHS presented a Scholarship to Yareli Trujillo daughter of Amelia Garcia (Larkin High School) on 5/21.
